Molybdenum

What does it do?

Molybdenum helps rid the body of the protein breakdown products, e.g. uric acid, strengthens teeth and may help reduce the risk of dental caries, detoxifies the body from free radicals, petrochemicals and sulphites.

Deficiency Signs

Deficiency signs are not known unless excess copper or sulphate interferes with its utilisation. Animals show signs of breathing difficulties and neurological disorders.

Food Sources of Molybdenum

Some food sources are; Whole grains, tomatoes, cauliflower, wheat germ, pork, lamb, lentils, beans.

Supplements of Molybdenum are not recommended.
